I don't have either,so,more experienced posters will have to answer you with specifics.WERM is short for" We Eliminate Rubber Mats" and is a brand-specific padded coating over a trailer floor.Rumber is rubberized lumber which you probably already know.

What is a WERM floor? How good are Rumber floors?
We got a 4 Star, 6 horse head to head with the WERM floor... NO MORE PULLING MATS!!. Come home from the show and unload the horses, sweep out loose hay, hit it with the leave blower and rinse if needed.....!!! DONE!! The RUMBER floors I've seen tend to be a bit slick.... Nothing slick about the WERM floor, that why we blow it out with the leaf blower...

We have a 4 Star and a Bloomer with the WERM floor. We have had it put in our last 6 trailers. We absolutely swear by it! Best thing since sliced bread!

Yes. We use shavings on every trip. Pick the trailer after every use. Strip them totally out in between long trips. Trailers are parked at home under roof.
The WERM floor is the absolute best for sanitizing between different loads.

My first 2 trailers had rumber floors and they were fantastic! Not slick at all - and the floors looked great after 9 years of heavy use. No mats and very thick padding for the horses. I wish my current trailer had them as well.
They come with lifetime warranty - never need to replace

We have a 2002 4Star 2 horse bumper pull and a 2004 4Star 3 horse with LQ and they both have the WERM flooring. They have enough roughness that there are no slips. But we do use shavings for the comfort of the horses. Always hated trying to pull those rubber mats into place on old wooden floors after removing them each trip just to clean the floor!

Has anyone ever had their aluminum floor removed in the horse area and replaced with the WERM? I have a Hart and the floor in the horse area is not in the best condition. I question the integrity of this area in the years to come.

The WERM floor is poured over top of the aluminum floor. Theres no removing your aluminum floor without going back with the same aluminum extruded planks, at that time you could install the WERM material over the new aluminum. Being as you're in west Tn. you might give R.T. Smith a call. ( http://www.selecttrailer.com/ )Take your clean trailer, less the mats and other horse related items to him and they'll tell you what's best for your Hart trailer. They can etch and make the necessary repairs to your aluminum floor and install the WERM at that time. They are factory authorized WERM floor dealers/installers.... http://www.selecttrailer.com/WERM.html

I can personally recommend Select Trailers service department. They have installed WERM in several of my LQ years without any issues at all. They are very good to do business with no matter what brand of trailer you are pulling!

You answered my question about WERM flooring that WERM's web site did not. I had wondered if the WERM were structurally as sound as wood or aluminum. Guess if WERM is put ON TOP of an aluminum floor it doesn't matter. Can WERM be put on top of wood flooring?
What about RUMBER? Does it have to be put on top of aluminum or wood?

Okay I have what is probably a dumb question, but, if you install the WERM flooring, how do you then ever check the integrity of the aluminum floor, like the support, welds, etc? Does the fact that the WERM stops any and all corrosion negate the need to check the flooring for weld repair, etc? Does what I am asking make any sense?

Yes, WERM can be installed over a wood floor. Plywood is first installed and then the WERM applied, although I have heard that this procedure does not result in the quality of the WERM over aluminum. Rumber is a replacement for wood or aluminum and not put over wood or aluminum. It is my understanding that rumber does not have the tensile strength (bending moment too great) to be a replacement for a wood or aluminum floor in an existing trailer, as the cross members on these existing trailers are spaced too far apart. The installation of rumber on an existing trailer with a wood floor would required additional cross members to be safe. Gard and some of the other guys will also respond.

WERM flooring is installed as wet product and troweled into a flat surface. It adherees to the floor surface like a glue or paint, but is about 3/8 to 1/2 inch thick. It becomes the floor and is imprenritable (sp). Urine and other moisture cannot penetrate, so thus the aluminum cannot corrode.
