Ramp vs Step Up: who can decide which is best?
Strong opinions about them both. Now Blue Moon resolves the issue forever. The new 2009 models use an escallator: eliminates all of the broken legs from stepping up and hitting the trailer and does away with all the slipping on ramps.
Check it out! Another Blue Moon innovation that will change the industry.

That doesn't sound very safe...Actually, I am pretty sure it's not!!! A ramp or step up sounds ALOT safer than this 'contraption'. I would like to see a horses reaction once it step on it though, might be pretty funny... but more than likely it'd be traumatizing to the horse. Sorry!

My pony Huginn LOVES the auto feeder feature in my Blue Moon trailer. It's kinda cool how the hay flakes slide down from the hay rack right into the hay bag in front of his nose. I'm still waiting for them to figure out an auto mucking system, would be nice if I could just park the trailer when I got home from long camping trips without having to spend the time to muck the trailer out. Know what I mean!?

When is Blue Moon coming out with the hydraulic option? With the push of a lever, the trailer would drop to the ground, eliminating the need for both a ramp and an escalator. Then once the animals are loaded, push the lever and the trailer rises back to transport position. Would sure hate to see Blue Moon get beat out on this innovation by someone else!

The automatic poop scooper was on the -08 models-did you miss it???? They also tied in the same waterline from the automatic waterer and used it for spraying down the floor after it was scooped. It was on a timer so you didn't have to worry about it going off while the trailer was still loaded or in motion. It's great!

Blue Moon may be busy working on the LQ trailer with a detachable horse compartment. Since they are on the cutting edge, I am sure they will get theirs out first! I can't wait for the day that I can set up camp then detach the horse compartment to trailer over to another trailhead. That Hunters Option will also help the great game hunters that can't fit their large LQ rigs back into the hunting camp, since they could detach the horse compartment and make 2 more managable sized trailers out of one big un'!

Aw c'mon, don't make them wait. The Blue Moon trailer was a fantasy trailer thread started by Rollin. You'd have to read the first posts-hilarious-about all the options. I don't know if it would even still be on this forum as we haven't heard from him in quite some time.

Hey Rollin! Welcome back! we've missed you big time. I was one of the lucky ones to get the blue moon option of the trailer automatically hitching itself to your truck whenever you push this little itty bitty button and it detaches itself automatically as well.
I wonder what option they will come up regarding flooring..... rumber, werm, rubber, wood... gotta be a good one

Rumour has it, that, Blue Moon may be installing the new memory foam flooring. It has great benifits. The horses know exactly which stall is theirs and where they should keep all four feet.

The auto mucking system has been in every LQ Blue Moon trailer, I have been to the factory and seen plans of every Blue Moon trailer made, and ever trailer had a removable top on the inside wheel wells on a 8' wide model. The top is hinged, so when the horse poops is is deposited in an area that has a conveyor that moves the waste to a wheelbarrow when you are stopped. Too bad when they were installing the rubber lining to the walls, the installer covered to top, making it impossible to open.
