I thought I would lighten things up in here and have everyone share a pic of their favorite horse and why they are your favorite. Since my hubby is in Afghanistan I will share his favorite horse in his honor. Her name is Miss Ruby Leather, she is a registered Spotted Draft. She is my hubby's horse and his equine best friend. This is my favorite picture of him and his horse, it was taken earlier this summer when he was home on leave.

This is Porter a 1/2 Arab 1/2 Saddlebred. He has been with me 12 years and seen and done almost everything. He has packed my camp in hunting, hauled out elk and deer, taught my daughters to ride, been a 4H horse for my daughter and carried me on lots of endurance and CTR rides.

This is my mare Sunny. She is a red dun 5-year-old grade. SHe is a great trail horse and she wants badly to be a barrel horse. She has the heart of gold and will do anything you ask of her. SHe will walk over, through, or under anything. She will go as slow as she needs to with a kid on her or as fast as I ask her to. She has done all events at our local fun shows and I am hoping she will take my daughter to the pay window in barrels. SHe is one of the best ones I have ever had!! THe pic was taken last year and hse looks tons better this year.

Here's my paint mare, Jewel. She's APHA registered, Fancy Lady Jewel, and is built like a tank. I know some aren't fond of Impressive breeding, but she's HYPP N/N so I think I'll keep her...

Well, I can't figure out how to post either, but one of my favorites is in my avitar, the one on the right, Marcell. I have sold the other one.
He's a sweetie and not a horse, but a mule.

Gosh, all my horses are my favorite - but this one is my pocket horse. She is 5 years old and very sweet, not to mention athletic. All I have to do is call her and she comes running - even when she knows we are going riding. She's my first Missouri Fox Trotter.

Hey Appy4me, I have (and have had for some time now) your picture of Dusty & Banjo as the wallpaper on my computer. I get so many comments on it, they are just too cute for words!

Those donkeys are darling! I've got a few thieves too. My yearling, 2yr old, their 6yr old dam and two 2 yr old english mastiffs. They are great for clutter control and making sure you put your tools away. They will walk off and play with (or eat) anything!! I have to buy a new remote for my car, I guess they figured to teach me to not leave the keys hanging in the door.

Thanks guys!! They are my little darlings. Today was really lousy at work, I got home to see my little boys carrying a halter and leadrope around. They pick stuff up and always carry it together. (like in the picture of the toy shovel). They are amazing animals, I am thankful they found me! My old appie was a thief too, he had "charm". I often think my donkeys are eating grass too close to the apps grave!
I entered that photo in a local cutest pet contest, we didn't even make the finalist section! But, I know they're cute!

This is my 11 year old reg. quarab, Riyja Montego, raised him from a baby. Had him as a stud until he was 8 then cut him. One of the best trail horses I've had in a long time.
