Hey! Just found a great 3H, steel frame/alum. skin 1998 CM. Only drawback is that it has a fiberglass roof. The entire trailer looks great, but just wondering about the roof.........any comments good/bad would be appreciated! I have had an all steel trailer for years without any problems, but with our hot summers and freezing winters in Iowa, wondering how the fiberglass would hold up................HELP!

I'm in Iowa too.

I wish I had a FG roof. My steel has too many seams and they need to be repaired as soon as it warms up. Friends of mine have a trailet with a one peice roof and I wish it were mine!

you are going to feel a huge huge difference in the inside of the trailer as far as being hot inside in summer and cold inside for winter... ex summer time...because cold is cold no matter if its 20 outside but 35 in the trailer its still cold.. im in tn and have owned 3 steel trailers before this fglass roof trailer big diff... happy trails

I have a friend that has a Trailet 4H w/a fiberglass roof.  She swears that this is the only way to go.... especially for those of us in the South where it's hot as Heck!  She's in Oklahoma and also trailers to Texas.  Says the inside says quite a bit cooler and that having the taller trailer also helps, letting the heat rise away from the horses.

Had a Turnbow with f/g roof. Loved it for several reasons. Best reason was when it was damaged (how doesn't matter, does it?) all I had to do was take it to a boat repair shop, and it came out as good as new.
