I just bought a used saddle. When I received it I noticed the leather going around the horn was loose, so loose it is annoying like wearing a pair of szie 9 shoes when you wear a 7. Does this mean the horn is broken, the tree is broken? What could have happened to it. Any ideas.

is it the flap on top of the horn? If it is loose just use a little gorrila glue. could you take a pic and sow me it and I will tell you if your tree is broken or not.

I had to give the saddle up to UPS for a claim. The leather top to the horn and the leather on the sides of the horn was loose, just like a shoe that was too big. The leather flopped around on the horn. I hope this makes sense. I hope you can tell me more too. I think I might have been taken.
