Before or after the recent monsoon? As far as I know it is ok. I'm sure it is muddy in spots, not usually a lot of mud there, and possibly washed out some. Its not long before someone makes a path around most bad areas. There are some low areas that will be soft, but I never ride near the creeks. The barn is still available, you have to contact the rangers, the woman who ran the hack stable is no longer there. You have to haul water a long way, as the barn water is turned off.

We just returned from a great weekend of riding at Natchez Trace State Park. It is a wonderful place; but the 4 wheelers are quickly destroying the horse trails. ATV's are "allowed" in certain areas of the park; however, they are riding wherever they choose, a couple of ATV's came through the Wrangler Camp and we called the Ranger Station after an hour the ranger came through "looking" for them. If we can see them on horseback, one would think the rangers could also see and hear them. We passed 8 trucks with trailers parked on the side of the park they are not allowed to ride and tracks were all over the place. Its a shame the TN State Park system is failing in such a bad way, the landscape will be slow to recover if they were stopped today. If anyone has any pull with the system, please share!!

They can ride south of Melton. They are not susposed to be between Melton and 40. There were prob about 7 trucks parked on Melton all day yesterday. There are so many trails, I very seldom ever see a 4 wheeler. I put in 50 miles there Sat, Sun. And today,!,!

Were they north of Melton.? They like to get down to the water, where I very seldom ever go. They also go on the east sideof 114.Like I said, I hardly ever see them. I know they are worse on the weekends than during the week.Do you ride here a lot?
