We currently have a 15 ft sh wall (4 STAR) that we use for winter travel to SW. Some friends recently bought a Lakota w/slide out. I have found their website but does not give me alot of detail, like curb wt, tongue wt, axles, tires, etc. Looks like a nice trailer, but what is under the skin. Pricing seems very good, but worried about quality going down the rode. Has anyone had exp with Lakota trailers or have suggestion at looking at other brands. Appreciate the help. We has a F350 SR diesel. Appreciate feedback

Perform a SEARCH under "Lakota" and you will find numerous threads about the brand. Most I've read are generally positive.

Keep your 4Star!! Lakota would be a big down grade!

Apreciate both feedback. I do not disagree with the quality of 4star. Trying to get slideout while keeping $ at reasonable level. I have several friends that bought Bisons a couple of years ago because of wanting slideout room. Most have many bad stories to tell of problems. Getting older is great but have to keep GrdMa happy also, while keeping $ balanced. We both agree our current trailer is very nice, slide would just make it more comfortable while wintering in it for 3-4 mos.

Logan Coach has some very affordable slideout models while keeping the quality high. Some say they are heavy because of the steel frame but when you really look into it there is hardly any weight difference. The guys at the factory are the nicest in the industry. We have owned 5 Logan Coaches and wouldnt buy anything else!

I have a Lakota Bighorn Grande with a 12 foor slide and have had no problems in my two years of ownership. Lakota quality is very good and they took care of the few small problems in a timey manner.

Check out Merhow trailers. They make a great trailer, have been in business for over 50 years. Search Indiana and Merhow on Horse Trailer World. The NE Indiana dealer has Merhow slides on their lot.
