I just purchased my first LQ trailer from an individual. I am very happy with it, but have some questions about the electrical stuff:
1. The LQ interior lights worked fine for the first day or two, but now they won't come on, even when the trailer is plugged into a shore line. There is a large 12 volt battery on the trailer - is it possible that the lights run only off that and that now it is dead? Shouldn't they run off the shore line if one is available?
2. I do know that my truck is not charging the large battery that seems to run the interior lights, but it is charging the smaller battery for the breakaway system. It seems like the truck would be wired to do both or neither?
2. If I plug the trailer into a shore line overnight, will it charge the battery? I've read that a converter is required for this to happen - is this something that is pretty much standard on a LQ trailer? How can I tell if I have one?
Thanks for the help. My little bumper pull was much easier, but not nearly as roomy!

Question- does your LQ have electrical outlets for 110 appliances in it? Or is it just ceiling lights?I am betting that your lights run only off the battery and they charged it with a trickle charger.I would call the people you bought it from and ask these questions to see how they kept everything charged up though. Ask how old the battery is if they can remember.
