Has anyone heard what kind of shape they left the campground in? There were over 7,000 of them in the area over fourth of july. They were so nit picky about us horse people there and where we could park etc, I can just imagine how they dealt with them. Can you wonder how the forest service would have felt if 7,000 horse and riders pulled in there at one time?

I dont know what they left at Big Sandy. We ran into a bunch of them last weekend near Jaclson. ( about a 100 miles away from where their original camp had been) They were moving around in an old bus and camped out in the trees. There were some naked woman swiming in the river and I heard some yelling at each other.
I can not imagine how they could not impact the Big Sandy area by bringing in 7000 people. That area seems crowded when their are 15 cars in the trail head.

Oh my! Reminds me of my hippie days. HAHA!! I don't think they mean any harm, but like most groups there is always a few in the brunch that give others a bad name.
I went to a CMO once, there was a group of riders that spent most of the weekend..heavy drinking. When they pulled out, they left their camp spot in a horrible mess, beer cans, trash and manure every where. I was the last one to leave camp, I ended up...picking up their area before I left.

There are some not terribly far from here.... their campsites, when they leave them, are just ungodly filthy. Old magazines, cans, bottles, old clothes, dirty toilet paper and whatever, just unreal. They never heard of green.
