ok, new trailer. No directions. Hubby at work. I have pulled the awning out- it is indeed 2 steps. Now, how do I get it to roll back up? I didn't want to force anything, it would be just like me to tear it up.

Take the pull strap, and the rod, to the end of the roller that has the travel lock. Put some tension on the pull strap, flip the travel lock to the opposite position....slide the pull strap, while applying some tension, to the center of the roller.....let it roll up gently.
