I didn't feel it,and if we heard it,we probably thought it was thunder. It's funny, but, late last PM when I was watching TV and about to go to bed,I had sort of a "preminition" about an earthquake.I wasn't watching anything on TV that had anything to do with one, either. For some reason,it just came to mind.

I felt it up in Northwest Indiana. Darn flu was keeping me awake and lo and behold, the bed starts shimmering and then shaking. Weird. The birds sure started singing after it was done!

It woke me up this morning from the shaking of the house, but I was so tired i went right back to sleep. When I got up I found a couple of my hats on the floor and had no idea how they got there. I had no idea what had happened until I heard about it on the radio on the way to work. I also felt one of the after shocks at about 11:15 this morning.

woke me up due to my bedroom door rattling like crazy then felt the bed shaking. Kinda freaky when you wake up to that stuff. Thought the boogie man was trying to get me...lol...

I wondered how far south it got Jan. Some of my kids in class that live right at Jackson felt it, but we have a few teachers that live close to Bemis that never did. It makes you wonder what will happen if when the New Madrid Fault hits like they are predicting.

I"ve watched some of the senarios on The Weather Channel about this.We are also on the New Madrid Fault line area here. They have said such hairraising things as: part of Memphis falling off into the Mississippi, the bridges along the Mississippi collapsing, ect ect.I try not to think about it much.Between that, and tornadoes every other week and rain like a moonsoon,I'm not surprised. But hey,I've had cancer as some of you know,so,takes more to scare me now than it used to.
