Has anyone ever horse camped there? Any information would be wonderful! Thanks!!! Sweetwater Lake is north of Vail, and Dotsero, in Eagle County, trails going up onto the Flatops Wilderness Area...

Been in alot of the surrounding areas from many points. There were a couple of fires up there the last couple of years. I can't remember exactly where but in the area. The last time I was up that road it was in great shape up to the lake. FYI - Elk/Deer Rifle season starts Saturday the 13. Lots of hunters frequent that area.

I am hauling there to hunt, riding mules and taking a pack mule, but would like to use the LQ trailer (that is one reason we got it!) and if the road is good going to the lake, good enough. Only hauling as far as the Forest Service campground, then riding in from there. Meeting friends there, too.
