Does Smithville Lake in Missouri have electric hook-ups? And is there a hyrdrant to water your horses? What are the trails like... marked, rocky/sandy etc. And do they have pens or picket poles?

I remember the trails being so-so boring... I don't think they have hook-ups for horsetrailers unless they have added them... Berrybend (near Clinton,Mo, or Eagle Ranch would be a better camp and ride)
Happy Trails. See ya at Big Creek in October probably...

Thanks for the info. We've been to those places and really like them, but are looking for a new place to camp/ride. It is getting harder to get into Eagle Ranch since Ponderosa closed unless you want to do the primitive camping. Which we don't mind, but like to have a pen for our horses. Wish Berry Bend had more campsites with pens. We are so close to Hillsdale Lake that we really don't need to camp there. If you haven't been there lately, they have sites that have water/elec and 20x20 pen at each site.
