your potty's? Is there a chemical that you can put in the tanks to help the "breakdown" and smell till you get to dump?
I dump as often as I can, but hot summer ... you know.
I also have trouble finding the enviro friendly TP that breaks down quicker.
Besides the fact my tanks are in need of constant repair and I'm trying to find stuff to fix the leak where it connects to the drain valve. I refuse to replace untill the hwy dept fixes our approach! (that might be whole nother post!)

You can buy the chemical deodorizer & RV TP at just about any Walmart and many truck stops (like Flying J that cater to RV'ers) are carrying these necessities now.

As she said, the RV section of WalMart has CampaChem I think it is called.About 1/2 of a large bottle in the summer. They also have individual small bottles in a kit that can be used one at a time.
A box of baking soda doesn't hurt either.I keep this in the tank when I am not using the trailer.Just dissolve it and pour it down the toilet with about 2-3 cups of water.I add some Lemon Joy and leave it in there until my next trip.

I know this is a little off topic, but one thing we do right before we pull out is dump ice down the toilet and just a little water. It sloshes around enough to help scrub off anything that has stuck to the bottom of the tank. When we get home we clean the system one more time and you are suprised at the amount of paper that comes out at this point.

I did one time, but found the ice helped more than anything else. Apparently I had some paper on one of mine and it got to be tricky figuring out when you needed to go dump. I put the sensor cleaner through and it did not work.

Just use a foam type cleaner such as Dow bathroom cleaner. I use one of the throwaway pad cleaning systems to scrub with.I think it's made by Mr.Clean, not sure.Disposable toilet bowl cleaning pads with reusable plastic handles

I use those little disposable orange things from Walmart..they dissolve in water. Not sure of the name, but they smell good. I flush one down the commode and one down the sink as well. I agree with the one ply Scott TP...that RV stuff is like $4 a pack of 2! I use the Fantastic cleaning wipes to wipe down the commode with, those I get at the local $1 store, and they also have furniture polish wipes and glass cleaner. I load up for my trailer at that store. My god, my trailer is better equiped and cleaner than my house LOL

We have been camping for over 20 years. We don't put the toliet paper in the potty. I keep walmart plastic bags in the bathroom to dispose of the toliet paper. This eliminates the problem with the TP in the black tanks.
