I would be very concerned with not having a title, the factory cannot just give a title out, if you can find the last owner and have them fill out a lost title application you may beable to get a new title issued in your name, that's if they had transfered it into their name, if not it may be very difficult to ever get a title. If you ever try and trade it in no dealer will be able to take it. Good Luck!

Regarding a title, it may depend on what state you are in. In Maine, I have bought, sold and registered older trailers without a title. The only time I ever needed to have one is when I financed a new one through my credit union, and they wanted to hold the title until it was paid off.
Even if a dealer wouldn't want it, you can always sell it privately. But it might be worthwhile checking with your state regulations.
