Someone I know has 2 used Myler bits (SS 7" Flank Shank w/sweet iron ported barrel copper inlay)that he wants to sell. He said he paid $130 for each one new. What would be a fair price to offer him for them??

I always buy used bits if I can, one of that quality (unless it's damaged) should be worth about $50-65. I have what others call a bit library and over 90% were used when I got them. I wouldn't pay that much but it's what I see them for at the shows.

Checkout eBay on the style and model you are wanting to purchase and watch to see what they go for. This will give you a rough guess on what folks are paying for them. I've bought several level 1 and level 2 bits on eBay from $35-65 depending on the style. Also checkout this site to compare new cost: http://www.shopatron.com/index/351.0
