Has anyone put the Herculiner on their aluminum floors? I was thinking about doing this just to protect the floor from the obvious. Thanks.

Yes, put it in my sundowner and Featherlite.  Love it.

I've never done this, so I'm sure no expert, but I have seen a couple that were done. As I understand it, the trick is to get the floor really clean, as in acid wash, then prime it with a bonding primer paint, then put your Herculiner on. I've been told the Herculiner will not adhere well to bare aluminum. You will still need mats, as the Herculiner is not as tough as WERM flooring, and your horses could wear thru it. The guys I know that have it like it and it does seal the aluminum off from urine, etc. and is cheaper than WERM or Rhinoliner. FWIW.

Thanks.  I am going to start with the cleaning first.  The trailer I just got has never been cleaned and I cleaned what I could with a wire brush.  It will be a lot of work, but I think well worth it in the end.
