A riding buddy of mine has a 2 horse straight load and he has a box mounted on each side above the fenders the are 12" tall 8" deep and 32" long he bought them on e-bay the are aluminum and meant to be used flat but he mounted what should be the bottom to the side of the trailer. Works real nice and looks good to boot.

runninc, I am not exactly sure what you are talking about. Maybe HWBar answered your question. I once did see a rear tack "box" in a trailer that was about the size of a normal rear tack area, but it was fully enclosed with its own door, and removeable. I wonder if it was bought somewhere or custom fabricated. I do not much care for fixed rear tack areas because it limits what the trailer can be used for. I do not really like collapsible rear tack areas because they get really dusty. This rear tack "box" I saw seemed to be the answer.

Contact S & H Trailers. They make rear tack boxes that are bolted to the floor and side of the trailer. They are really nice, Usually run about $500 installed. The door is hard to see in this picture, but it opens to the left. I have since sold this trailer, but I loved the tack box.

Yeah. That is exactly what I saw. And it happened to be an S&H trailer I saw it in. Now I know what my next trailer accessory will be.
