I too was confused by how my horses aren't safe in my 2005 Exiss Event, 3 horse,  14 ft. Glide out loaded with the works, that was anything but "inexpensive".  The part about washing out the back each time.................. again, how does that make my horse safer???  So many people get hung-up on names and prices.  We shopped a long time before we ended up with this trailer.  We went to all the shows and read every bit of info we could before deciding on the Exiss.  We are happy with our trailer and the manufacturers warranty.  If your using the comparison of a Mercedes Benz to any horse trailer you might just have to use the $200,000 number that was set up at Congress last year.  I haven't  seen one of those go down the road yet!  Use your own judgment, don't be too worried about what other people have to say and do your homework.

Again I agree, Look and find the trailer that has all that you want and need and fits into your budget. Both trailers are very good trailers. Most any trailer being built today are very safe, Please don't worry about the safety issue with these two brands.

Again Good Luck

I agree about doing your homework when purchasing a trailer.  Before I purchased my Exiss, I compared several different aluminum trailer manufacturers.  The items I compared (along with price and warranty of course) on my spreadsheet, were the structural items like the distance between the floor, wall and roof supports, axle size, thickness in aluminum sheeting etc..  No trailer was the best in all categories, but the Exiss Event came out being heavier made in more categories than most of the other manufacturers I compared.

Any aluminum floor, no matter the manufacturer, is going to have pits if the urine is allowed to sit directly on the aluminum for any length of time.  We keep baking soda on our floors between cleanings, it does seem to help.

We do our best to keep the back of our trailer clean.  I put down shavings before we load the horses and it makes it easier to pick out when we get where we're going.  When we get home we strip it and clean it.  I've never heard of using baking soda until today.  I will try that.
