Good Morning! With show season just around the corner for me and my teenage girls I am always looking for more ways to organize. (there is never enough room for teenage girls and all thier stuff) I have an exsis sport with a saddle rack for 3 saddles in the collapsable tack. Anybody got any good ideas for adding a blanket bar or rack. We normally carry 3 blankets to one saddle. I have an aluminim fabricator shop across the street and he can make anything. Just looking for a few good ideas to choose from. Thanks for your help and Have a great day!

I have 4 saddles racks with 4 saddles in my rear tack. My trailer came with 1 blanket bar on the rear door. No, I can't put all my pads on that bar. I usually put on top or under the saddle on the rack. I have seen those mulitple bar blanket bars that you hang up. Maybe you can put one of those on your back door?

How often would you really collapse your rear tack? It should be an easy matter to weld a bar the length of each saddle rack just underneath it and with enough clearance to put a pad on. Like Krys I generally just put mine over the top of the saddle, figure it adds some protection from dust/abrasion anyway. (Is there EVER enough room? My husband swears I pack the whole house every time I leave for a show!)

Our's has a three saddle rack in the back with two blanket bars on top of the rack. I still end up putting my pad on my saddle. It makes it easier to reach for one thing.

I have a removable rear tack and had two blanket bars welded onto the middle panel cross-supports; one top, one middle. OR, you can have them huigh on the rear trailer wall above the horses butts. I just have a very spooky horse that would lose his pea-brain if it ever fell on him.

We have a blanket bar that I love. IT is welded with hinges on one side and has about 6 or so bars. It will swing and lay flat against the door with a snap/clip to lock it in place when not in use. Its been very handy. Just un snap and it will swing out from the door, grab the pad and push back flush with the door. We had this designed for our mid tack and use it to carry show pads but see no reason it couldn't be modified for a rear tack door.

Platinum Coach makes one similar to what was mentioned. Go to this web site, go to the Interiors section, and click on the Swing Out Blanket Bar. The picture is small but it gives you a little bit of an idea what it is. It attaches to the hinges and moves separately from the door. However, if you doors are 60 / 40 doors, it will not work because the bar is too short for a blanket. Several manufacturers offer this now as an option (4 Star, Platinum).

Hi, I don't have a blanket bar tip for you, but I have one other tip. I have an Exiss (Event) with a 3-saddle rack in my rear tack. The saddle rack may be the same as yours (carpeted, wedge-shaped). I use one level for pads and saddlebags(they do fall off sometimes). I use pillowcases over the saddle racks to dress them up and keep them clean - I can just slip them off to wash.
