Was wondering if anyone has heard good or bad about Stidham trailers?  I'm looking at one but have not talked to anyone who has been using one.  Any info. appreciated. Thanks.

Stidam was  considered one of the best steel trailers every made.( I think the company was started in the 50's?).  They are now building only aluminum trailers.  They look very well built and deserve a second look.

Yes, you are right, they have been around since 1958, I have one of there brochures here.  I was able to look at one close up the other day when I meet up with a trucker that was delivering a brand new one from the factory, to the dealer up North.  But ya know how it is, they ALL look great just comin' out of the factory! lol   Just didn't know how they are holdin' up after a few years up and down the road.

They make all steel, Aluminum over steel frame and all aluminum trailers.

I personally hauled in one that have well over 1,000,000 miles (2nd slant ever made, steel) and it was a TANK!

They don't mass produce trailers like the big boys do, every trailer is hand made and gone over by the owners in great detail.  This attention to detail is the reason they don't have to worry about warranty work.  Robbie is awesome both in person and over the internet.

Having been through just about every trailer factory in OK, I can say that I was more impressed with Stidham than any other to date.  Honest humble businessmen that know the value of quality craftmanship.

They will be making my next one.

Thank you all for  your input, You have helped confirm what I allready thought!  It's settled, in a month and a half, I'll be pullin' a Stidham!!  There prices were a very welcomed surprise, several thousands cheaper than the others that I looked at, granted, I wasn't pricing cheap trailers, I've pulled trailers for my living (I truck livestock) for the past 8 yrs. I know what I want in a trailer and always custom order new ones with all the options that I want, as it has to be right for cattle, and horses!  So here we come Stidham Bros.

I have owned exclusively Stidhams since 1970. Over the past 35 years I have owned 3. Sold the first one for what I paid for it (after over 20 years of ownership), sold the second one for close for what I paid. I now have a third (wanted to upgrade). Numbers 2 and 3 I purchased sight unseen, with just phone calls to the Stidham family. Never a leak, suspension problem, etc., etc.

I called Robbie Stidham and ordered from the factory. We drove from the East Coast to pick it up. There are dealers. Don't expect "mircowave happiness," that is,an instant trailer. There may be several months lag time between your order and pick up. Quality is the name of the game, not quanitity....and quality leaves no regrets!
