Hey everyone just a quick question here. Does anyone know of a good place in killeen texas to board a horse? I have looked through the phone book and of the places i saw there was only one where the phone number was still in service. I have looked at the stables on base and umm well they remind me more of dog kenels than somewhere you would put a horse. Anyone have any suggestions? I am new to the area and really would like to find a nice place that is affordable to keep her. Literally all i am worried about is a place. I prefer to care for my horse myself and all. The problem is actually locating a place period. I would be happy if i could find a pasture with shelter and water that was fenced in to rent. Lol i would even put the shelter there on my own if need be. Once again any suggestions?

Drive around, find the pasture you want, knock on their door and ask if you can rent it.  I have done this before and it worked out great.

The only gal I know in Killeen is CRAZY! So I won't be recommending her. I'd start at a local equine vet's office and then hit the feed stores. You might have to settle for something less than desireable to start. Stay away from a short hyper lady named Jane...you'll know her when you hear her.

I am in Marblfalls.  Had a similar problem.  I don't know if you are near, but ryan potucek is in Willow city.  I found a beautiful place here in Marble falls but it is 395 /month includes all feed pasture gergeous stalls with walk out and lighted arena.  feed is o.k I have to supplement.
