I have a 2006 Bloomer LQ. I had a single deep cell RV marine battery in 27DC but it is too big to have two of them in the box. Should I get the 24DC instead?

Yes- it is most common to have 2ea Group 24 batteries in a LQ. If the box is large enough for 2- 27s, they'll work, but few boxes are. When you go to 2, be sure and hook 1 up just like your 27 is, then run a wire from the negative of Batt #2, to negative of Batt #1. Same with positive. This keeps you with 2 batteries acting as 12V.
