So my wife and I have been going back and forth about downsizing our 4horse weekender package trailer to a 4 horse stock trailer (goose neck for both) and a used RV. Are most horse camp sites big enough for a truck with 20' box gooseneck and a poss. 24-30' RV? I worry that there is not enough room for both so I am hesitant to go that route.

The reason for the stock trailer is that we would sell our 14' bumper pull that we use for cows and small trips around town and use that towards the RV. The gooseneck stock would fulfill those requirements plus be able to haul 4 horses.

I pull a 45 foot long LQ horse trailer with a 25 foot Peterbilt single axle and I fit in every place I have been. Caney Mountain, High Knob, Cedar Lake and many other ( these are probably some of the tighter ones ). Once I get to camp the extra room is appreciated. Just my opinion

Unless you have a diesel pusher...you will not be equipped to pull a 4 horse bumper trailer...risky. We have a Kenworth western hauler and a very large trailer some call overkill, but we go wherever we want to with ease ...about 65' in length...there is only a handful of places we would not.
