I bought a 2011 Sport Chassis Freightliner this fall and it's been a great experience. Just wondered if anyone else has any experience with these trucks.

Had one for several years..3126B CAT engine/Allison MD3560 (I think)..we loved it. It felt like a parade float and drove all over the USA like a dream. We now have a simple Kenworth western hauler...quicker, shorter,great for road trips with big LQ. It is registered as an RV, one of us is cdl cert., these rigs have the power to pull and the BRAKING power...we graduated to these after losing brakes three times on a "perfect" dually- dealer said nothing found on brake failure..ha. beg to differ. The trailer brakes stopped us (we were loaded with two horses). Yikes.

Ha Ha Ha We feel the same way! My wife and I enjoy just climbing up and going down the road. To steal a quote from 41, it's CAVU! Ceiling And Visibility Unrestricted.
Braking is the best part. We worry alot less than with the one ton dually.

I agree with getting away from the dually. About eight years ago I went to a Peterbilt and feel so much better with the braking. I have put many miles on it and still enjoy pulling with it. I just put over 2500 miles on it in the last two weeks and it helps make the trips more comfortable after long hours driving.
