I have an '09 Elite with an LQ that I love. I bought it used and with no screen door.
I bought one of those retractable screen doors and I hate it. It is falling apart after only 1 year.
I am looking for a replacement screen door, the stationary kind, and not having any luck finding one. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Have had both. Currently, we have the roll up and I like it better. Is not in the way and can be replaced easily. The previous trailer had the actual screen door. Was always in the way and you had to remove a bunch of the trim, etc to get the door replaced. ......Dogs seem to not see the screen some times and jump thru it.....

Elite uses two different doors One- their shop built door will resemble the escape door in construction, and will need a roll screen as it does not allow for a hinged screen. They have an option for a camper style door with built in screen (like you want I think), and the trailer would have needed to have been ordered with it. So if you had a rolling screen, without some serious fabrication, that is the screen that will fit your trailer.

I would contact Elite, or perhaps one of the conversion companies. Sierra did the conversion on my 2008 Sundowner, and the screen works great. I bet Outlaw, Bunk House, or Trail Boss has a go to screen door installation that they count on for durability and reliability.

I did away with the roll-up screen door on my trailer and switched to a screen that hangs from velcro attached around the frame and has magnets in the middle. My dogs can go in and out of the door whenever they want to, and the bugs stay mostly outside. Plus, if I choose to I can remove it entirely by just detatching from the velcro. The roll-up retractable screen was constantly getting stuck and off track. When I took it off my trailer repair guy commented that those things are expensive. So I replaced it with the $8 magnetic screen and have been very happy with it!
