I am thinking about replacing the incandescent bulbs with LED bulbs both inside and out. From what I have read online I would not have to swap out fixtures or light assemblies themselves- just the bulbs. Anyone else do this? Positive or negative experiences?
There are a couple things I would like to achieve with this switch. Inside, I would like the light to be brighter as well as the bulbs cooler. Outside, I am interested in brightness. I have one marker light on a fender that I swear is always out when I am in the driver's seat, but it is actually on and just not very bright.

I swapped all my inside ones out and went from drawing 23 amps to 3 amps with main lights on, really saves batteries. Got them all on E-bay pretty cheap just search for type of bulb base you have, G4, 1156, etc. There are different brightnesses so make sure you get what you want. I had LEDs on outside already but you may have to swap fixtures outside as most are sealed units.
