HiI have a 2 horse bumper pull that I don't use very much. I went to hitch it up today and the hitch latch spent the winter with the pin holding the lock in up/open position (under a bucket). The closed position pin holes are now so deformed (think oval), I can't get the pin in when I have the latch down in closed position. The hitch is a bull dog A frame type, the trailer is not quite 5 years old. I bought it new. No one has touched it since about October of last year. The Bull dog website this pin is optional as there is a hook type latch as well. That hook latch does engage. I hauled the trailer around the block to day empty and had no issues. Just seems really strange that the holes could have deformed that much. Has anyone ever seen this before? I bought a new horse I would like to pick up next weekend, but I only want to haul if the trailer is safe...Any advice is appreciated.thank youKimberlyKthank you in ad
