I'm looking at purchasing a 1994 4 Horse Sidkick from a friend and it is in pretty good shape with the exception of the roof. It needs a new roof but I'm unsure if it is something i could do myself or if i should pass on the whole deal. I have talked to a local camper shop and they said they could install a rubber roof for about $4500. This seems to be pretty high but i am also no expert. Also does anyone know what the support structure behind the aluminum is? I'm curious as to what i will find if i pull the inside aluminum off the frame to replace the roof and redo the inside of the trailer.

It's aluminum on the inside but its sagging. The back half of the trailer still looks to be in good shape it's really just over the dressing room that's the issue.

Unless you're well qualified in sheet metal fabrication and have access to the many necessary materials, I would pass on this trailer. You will end up spending a lot of money and time on the replacement. Our Sidekick is a newer version of yours and has a very thick FRP construction. It would be easier to repair than the sheet metal version. Again, walk away from the deal.
