I am currently looking at a used 2007 3H GN trailer with an 8' short wall and everything I want in it. My ONLY concern is that the previous owners managed to hit a tree branch or something with the front of the trailer and there is a dent in the nose of the gooseneck. They covered it with some duct tape, and from the inside of the nose I can't see any damage. (There is a cabinet in the front but the back wall of the cabinet is not pushed in or damaged) I really like this trailer except for this - is it possible to get a new "nose" piece for the trailer? It is a Circle J, and those are not made any more as goosenecks. If I can have a new nose piece put on, where would I find one? Is this worth fixing? I don't think it looks like there is any additional structural or frame damage to the trailer that I can see. Have any of you ever had to replace or repair the nose of your gooseneck trailer? If so, some words of wisdom would be appreciated! Thanks!

Is it Stainless Steel? Try Redneck Trailer supply.

If it is just the skin, and not the upper rail, skin is replaced regularly. You can usually buy skin locally, but stainless may be a little harder to find, and definitely harder to work with.

If you are going to replace it i would go with 22g stainless steel sheet. it will bend around the front and is much stronger than the 040 aluminum sheeting used on the sides of the trailer. heaven forbid you hit a bird going down the road (or a tree) the stainless steel sheet wont be as likely to get damaged.
