I have one hub on our LQ that I can not keep the bearing cap on. Once you drive a 100 miles or so the cap backs off and you find it laying in the hubcap. I've replaced the bearing cap itself and still the same issue; after a few miles it backs off. Has anyone else experienced this? What are the chances that the hub itself was machined wrong..tapered or something?

The first thing I would check is the cotter pin that holds the spindle nut in place. Make sure it is bent out of the way and not rubbing on the cap.

Very good suggestion, jdzaharia, I'll look at that once I get home tonight.
