This is strange, wanted to see if anyone has some idea what I might do to correct this problem. I purchased a older model horse trailer on Saturday and all of the lights work when we hook the trailer to my husband truck which is a Chevy. When we hook it to my Ram truck the lights do not work. When we turn the lights off on the truck the lights work on the right side of the trailer but not on the left. We can hook both trucks to my friends trailer and they all work on her trailer when hooked to the chevy or the Ram..Im so confused..Not really sure where to start..We are using a adapater. The trailer has the small round plug and both trucks have the large round plug..any suggestions on where to start trying to correct this issue

If it works on the Chevy then I would suspect the Ram's receptacle wiring. You can go to http://www.etrailer.com/info.aspx?productgroup=Wiring for some help.

Your Chevy and Ram are probably not pinned the same in the receptacles. I would purchase a new plug, and eliminate the adapter. Wire the plug to match your Chevy. Repin your Dodge to match the trailer and Chevy. This should eliminate your problem.
