I also have a question about the aluminum on my trailer... I made the mistake of buying a trailer cover for the winter the year before last. When I removed it in the spring the aluminum was full of black oxidation wherever the cover came in contact with it. Can anyone suggest a product or procedure that can remove this? I've been thinking of taking it to the truck wash to have it acid washed but I've been hearing this is not a good idea either.

Why are people suddenly saying that acid washing is a bad thing?I use the two different kinds of Streakmaster on mine...one for painted and one for bare. I works great. I would acid wash it if the place were closer!

There have been many reports of stock and horse trailers leaching out acid fumes into the animal area well after the wash, causing serious illness of the animals. I won't take the chance.

I had my trailer washed at Blue Beacon Truck Wash in Ennis, TX this weekend. They did my truck and trailer, and put RainX on the outside of the trailer & truck. I kid you not, my trailer looks brand new, and it only cost $50.00. Great service.
