My LQ has been parked. Gave it a good cleaning. Checked all compartments for fridge and water heater. Now when I lite off the fridge on gas, and it starts well. But now I smell fumes and never had this happen before. So we just finished taking vent covers off and trying to see if a mud dauber nest was in there but we can't see anything. So any suggestions?

What type of fumes? Like burning dust off, or unburned gas fumes? When mine sits for a while, it will smell for a bit forst time I light it. So will the furnace. Goes away in a few hours.

On most, there is a small sheetmetal shield on the lower right corner. Moving/removing it will let you see the actual flame. If you can see it, and all looks good, I'd let it run for a bit and see if the smell wanes.

I have ran it. Before we left for MD from MO. Then I fired it up again while in route, with windows open. I'm trying to lite it off now, but it's being a pita. I also noticed the little slide door was open some. So I closed it. I use it while in route but I don't leave it on when sleep. I ran the generator. I haven't lit off the furnace so I will try that also.
