I am thinking of buying a new lakota trailer. Anyone have any bad experience with them? Think I want a slide, any problems with leaks or slide not working properly?

I have a 2007 4 horse with 10 foot LQ no slide.  I like the trailer very well.  The only issue with my trailer right now is the radio/CD player is not working.  Mine is one of the last to have the LQ done by a 3rd party, who screwed a few things up.  Lakota picked up my trailer and fixed it at no charge to me and evern put in nicer blinds because what I had was ugly.  I we ever need another trailer it will be a Lakota.

There may be nicer trailers but I have never received better customer service.  They stand by their product.

We have had ours for 3 years and use it a LOT. We do not have a slide but we like the trailer a lot. I never had a LQ before and it is pretty dummy proof and one big thing to me is it does not hold odors at all. IMHO

Go see Jennifer at Canton Lakota. I found her to be very knowledgeable. She answered all my  questions truthfully.  She can even explain the tradeoffs between most all of the different trailer brands. I like to make informed decisions!

disclaimer: I didn't buy my Lakota from her but I would have if they would of had it sitting on the lot with the oven & hayrack from the factory.

We bought our Lakota last year in February. We love it. We bought a slide, 15ft short wall and rear kitchen. If you have the time I would recommend ordering vs buying off the lot. We saved a bunch of money and got some nice extras we would not have had. They will do some custom work for you because they do their own conversions, they don't have a 3rd party do it. That also saves you some money. For a mid level trailer with LQ I don't think you can beat the value of a Lakota. They have some nice things standard, the horse area is fully insulated, that is a big plus for the horses. We also had the AC ducted to the horse area so when we ride we can put the dogs there and if we had a horse get over heated, we can put them in AC. Don't know another trailer that does that.
