I understand the importance of a CO detector in the LQ but how important is it to have CO detector that is specifically made for an RV? There are only a few that I can find specific to an RV and they are much more expensive than the standard detectors.

I just replaced mine and it was easy. Ordered it online from PPL and it was here in 2 days. Took less than 5 minutes to replace. Yes, it was more expensive but wouldn't sleep in the trailer without it. Can't be too cheap with your life!!!

I think the only thing "special" about an RV CO detector, is it's a direct 12v wire in model. If I had an RV that needed a replacement, I'd probably just buy one from a local retailer like what's in my home.
