Looking at an 18ft shortwall with slide 4 horse triable to tow with 2011you dodge dually.....too heavy I think it std wheels but wondering how much diff there will be cuz of drizzle. Dealer said sundowner planned for this setup to be ok for a 3500? Any thoughts? Presently towing a 16ft no slide 3horse sundowner pretty well

In my opinion, serious braking, towing issues...you would be over the GCVWR...but some folks will do it anyway.

The triaxle setup does help on weight distribution; but I have to agree that a 3500 isn't enough truck for an 18' slide unit 4H.  We sold one of these a couple of years ago, and it went behind a 7.3 F-550.  That's probably the minimum truck I would want on this sized trailer.  Ideally, the midsized haulers, like the F/L's, baby Pete's or Internationals are the trucks to have on that sized trailer.

That trailer probably has a GVWR of 21000# to 24000# or greater...
