Do you think this would work to connect a honda 2000 & 3000? The description said 2000's. I would hate to blow something up. http://www.boomersbackyard.com/honda-parallel-cable-rv-adapter.html

The wire may be undersized for two E3000's. remember, the cables carry the current from one genset to the other. Likely the cable will heat up

You can only connect like size generators, such as 2 EU2000's or 2 EU1000's.

OP ...I may have missed your question. Zip is correct. Only like gensets may be paralleled.

Honda EU series inverter generators self-sync - that's why you can parallel them by simply connecting their outputs together. The Honda circuitry can accept external voltage on it's output, and if it sees voltage there when it starts up it will sync to it automatically. So when you start the first of two generators connected in parallel, it becomes the frequency master - then when you start the second generator it sees the voltage from the first and automatically syncs it's output to it....You want them to be either two 2000s or two 3000s...

Like others have said you are only supposed to hook like generators but I know that others have done what you are suggesting with some success.  Check out this forum...lot of knowledgable people.

It's been the experience of Honda engineers connecting different sized units in parallel often causes the smaller unit to overload. If units of different sizes are connected and cause a failure or service issues, it's likely not be covered under warranty. Best to stick with same-size units to avoid problems.

Caveat: I work for Honda, but the preceding was my opinion alone.
