Has anyone installed a microwave/ convection oven in their trailer? We carry a countertop toaster oven to use for baking rolls and things. It would be nice to have both the microwave and baking all in one appliance. They are expensive, around 300 to 400 bucks. So I would like to get some feedback before the investment.

We have one in both the Bloomer & the 4 Star. I like to do  hot wings, pizza, & nachos for everyone around our campfire. I had a friend make a stump hole cake in the Bloomer's convection oven that tasted every bit as good as Paula Deen's oouey gooey cake! I love being able to do garlic toast in the trailer without having to lug a toaster oven around.

We bought the one that is in the 4 Star weekender at Camping World.

good idea - will have to remember that for if/ when i need a new microwave. in the meantime since i don't have an oven (and do have a toaster oven) - i went ahead and bought the new "camp stove" lp unit that is an oven with a 2 burner top. i just set it up outside and use it for baking - keeps all the grease and everything out of the lq and is very easy to clean and cheap enough ($200 off ebay). happy baking!

Just make sure you have the required clearence for venting the convection oven feature of the microwave you buy. Some friends had problems with the convection/microwave they installed shutting down due to over heating because it needed 7" of clearence above the unit to allow for proper ventilation.

Good Luck!

We bought ours at Sears.  Love it. You must make sure you get the clear (invisible) plastic wrap off of it.  Also, you can't use the microwave part at the same time you are using the oven.  I have mine in my home since we have the 2 burner/stove Camp Chef stove in our mule trailer.
