Is it better to weld or bolt a hitch to my truck? I have an F 150 and need a hitch put on. Husband says to bolt it on, others say to weld it. Also, what class hitch would I want, a class III or a class IV in order to haul a two horse straight bp trailer? Thanks in advance.

Bolt it...

Frames are made off high strength steel.  Welding affects the heat treatment of the steel and creates stress concentration points.

Remember, the truck frame flexes as it travels rough roads and is loaded.
