I am looking online at an older (1995) Sooner. It is listed as having a flat sheet aluminum floor. I am only familiar with the corrigated aluminum flooring. What should I be on the lookout for in a flat sheet floor. What is your opinion of these floors?

WERM is nothing like Rhino Liner, Rhino is just a little better than a coat of paint. It has it's place, but you'll still need to use mats over the Rhino..... Is Rhino Liner 5/8" thick...?? Can you use Rhino and do away with the mats? Watch the video....

A sheet flooring and one made up with planks, both need regular inspections and maintenance, whether they are coated or bare. Werm should be inspeced for loose material and delamination. A liner material should be also be looked at, and repaired if damaged.
Both flooring systems should be regularly flushed if they are bare metal. This does not have to result in the complete removal of the mats. Most urine is confined to the curb side of the trailer in a slant load. With a plank system, this is often contained to a couple of feet from the wall. On a sheet flooring, the urine can migrate further towards the center. Many times the mats can just be rolled back in place and the flooring flushed with a hose. Leave the mats turned back until the flooring dries out.
Either aluminum system can be long lived if regularly maintained. If corrosion is noted, it should be quickly addressed to minimize any lasting damage. Liners and Werm will lessen the problems caused by urine, but they themselves are not an absolute cure. The Werm has been known to delaminate and hold moisture against the metal. The liners can be physically damaged, both allowing corrosion as a result.
Regular inspections and water flushings, will ensure a long lifespan for aluminum flooring.

We sold our 95 Sooner 2 years ago. We bought it new in 97. No problems with the floor at all. Actually it was easier to pull the mats out as the surface was smooth. It was a great trailer and served us well. We figured we had well over 100,000 miles on the trailer when we sold it and it looked like new.

Thank you. I am really hearing good things about the older Sooners. The LQ on this trailer seems really simple, which is just fine with me, this is a horse trailer, not a luxery resort.
