Hi guys, new to the boards.
I recently purchased a 2 horse tag a long that came complete with a WDH set up (bars, receiver and attachments on the trailer end, etc) Truck has Class III hitch on it.
Problem is that the receiver has about a 4-5" drop on it and when mounted on my truck, is nearly touching the ground. Is this something a professional welder could correct for me? Or can you buy these online somewhere? I almost need a receiver that comes nearly straight out or as little drop as possible.
Basically I am trying to salvage the set it currently has versus having to install a brand new one. I don't want to be cheap over safety, but don't like the idea of trailering without the WDH either.

Welcome Aboard! Please buckle your seatbelt, and keep all hands and feet inside until the thread has come to a full and complete stop.
I believe you'll find you need to take it apart, and turn that part over. You should track down a set of the original instructions. They will contain a full set (many pages with pictures!) of details on how to assemble, and set it up. On a WDH, these are critical steps and changing tow vehicles will necessitate repeating the process as everything is height dependant.
