We have a pretty rough rail road crossing that is extremely difficult with a bumper pull. It's high on one side and low on the other with a large bump in the middle. You have to go extremely slowly in a bp or you will hit, and you might hit anyway.

I assumed with my new gooseneck that it wouldn't be a problem, and it doesn't seem to be. However, is it putting too much strain on the ball or on the tires/suspension of the trailer or the truck? I went over it yesterday and realized how high the gooseneck was behind me. Can it damage anything? (I drive very slowly over it.)

Thanks

The only thing that can be damaged is any plumbing that hangs low under a LQ trailer. Very long trailers can get hung up over extreme road or crossing angles, but without anything hanging below the frame, there is usually little damage as a result.

Pot holes and dropping the right tires off the edge of a road, can damage your trailer's suspension and tires, regardless if it's a BP or GN. The GN hitches are usually stressed for higher than their max load capacities. Your driving slowly reduces the chances of damage and continues to be the best way to proceed.
