Subject: hitch weight





Location: Canton, GA 30115
Hi, we have a KB Genesis X-440 4 Horse w/ sm living qt 2005. Does anyone know the hitch weight of this goose neck. We are looking for a new truck and need to know this! Thanks in advance for your help.

Weigh the truck without the trailer attached. This is your Gross vehicle Weight. Next weigh the truck on the scale with the GN hooked up and loaded ready to travel. Do NOT have the trailer's wheels on the scale in any way at this point, just the trucks front and rear axle. This is the loaded truck weight. Subtract the Gross Vehicle weight, the first weight, from the loaded truck weight. The result gives you the pin weight of the trailer which should be around 20 percent.
