Any comments on Moritz horse trailers?
I have found an old thread here that received no responses. That poster was also asking about opinions & quality.

With respect to the Calico, I have read many positive posts. I've read the thread here that discusses the bad paint issue in prior years. From what I have gathered, the 6 foot width is too small for anything other than small horses. The complaint I have read about the Calico trailers concerns not being to comfortably accommodate larger horses.

I have had straight load trailers in the past. Am I correct in gathering that have a 6'8" or 7' width makes a big difference in the size of horse a slant load will carry comfortably.

Thanks in advance for responses.

Many farmers in my area have Moritz trailers for hauling cattle. They get quite a beating. In examining them, they appear very well built. Aesthetic appearances are for day to day work, and not the Saturday night prom.

Calico trailers, like most other brands, can be made as wide and tall as you see fir.

I have a calico trailer, its a good trailer, but when i got it i had smaller horses so it worked great. Now i have a larger horse and the slant is too small for him. I removed the divider and it works great otherwise. If i wanted i could get someone to weld mounts for my divider to make it bigger but it works good without it.
