I realize this is your 1st post and I welcome you to the website.  But we are not magical in being able to second guess your problems. You need to give us a little more info or a picture.

Describe what normally holds the jack up.  What part is failing?

Is a pin falling out, is a spring falling to hold up the foot.   Is it a Gooseneck trailer or a bumper pull. Just what kind of jack is it?

Weld a u bolt or something like that to the foot of the jack, and than attach a long and sturdy spring to either a bracket fastened to the area next to the jack mounts.  If you can picture this, the spring would be parallel with the jack; but it would keep it from dropping while in transit.  I presume you have a drop leg style jack, and I'm guessing that maybe the bottom part may be bent a little bit, whereby the spring pin won't quite hold it with the vibration from the road.

welcome to the site there is a lot of information on this site , a bungee cord may work to keep the foot up. I would also check to make sure that the crank works well and it is not on the last leg
