Does anyone know how Cimarron trailers compare to Elite, 4 Star or Bloomer? Specific to trailer craftsmanship, how do they pull and long term upkeep?

I love my Cimmaron.  For the money it is the best build trailer. It pulls great and the construction around the Mid-tack door and windows in the horse area is great with the welded frames.  I have had my trailer now for 6 years and as long as you take care of them it still looks new.

If you are on Facebook. Look at the pictures of Kim Furgeson's trailer that had the nose falling off! It was a big 6H LQ but after I saw those pics, I was glad I went back with Bloomer instead of the CM LQ I was really considering!

I just bought a Cimarron last month and so far I am very happy.  Seems to very well built and horse friendly.

We love ours. It is an '09 and we have put `25k on it so far. Absolutely no problems. Looked at that one on Facebook and that is sure not good. I have seen pics and actual trailers from Elite, Bloomer, Sooner, 4 Star, Hart, etc, with noses that was "falling off" or had cracks, etc. Just go to a sale barn during a cow sale and start looking at stock trailer noses. Quite a few have been repaired. Just a guess, and I have no idea the actually history, but something to think about, if it did really cost CM 10k to rebuild, they went above and beyond IMO. The reason I say that, is if cracks start to develop and go unnoticed and nothing is done, yes, you can have catistropic (sp) failure. I have no idea if that happened, but I would sure think that it should of started cracking before it "fell off". I would compare it to a tire, if you see it going flat, you do nothing but continue to drive, and ruin the tire, IMO, the road hazzard insurance has no liablity....Should of it ever cracked in the first place, no. The one question I would ask is did CM rebuild it the same way as it was to start with????If they redesigned it, that to me is an admission of an engineering error. I can't wait to see what Gard states...

I would not hesitate to buy another one. I have seen 3 wrecks with Cimarron trailers and they all came out fine, but the opposing objects didn't...

One other thought than I will step off the soap box...I wonder if she contacted her insurance company or had insurance on it? I would of filed a claim and let them go after Cimarron. Amazing how a dealer/manufacture responses to a major insurance company...

Ours is six years old and we have had no problems with it.  The welds look as good today as they did when we purchased it.

CM and Cimmaron are two different manufacturers.  The pictures on Facebook say CM several times.  Which is it?  No need to cast an undeserved shadow on Cimmaron.

They are different companies now. Back in '03 they were the same.

Back in 2003 they were CM Trailers, and CM still makes trailers.  Cimmarron is a separate brand, with separate ownership and management.
