We recently found an aluminum '95 Sundowner (Sunlite) Sierra Edition, 4H SL, with complete LQ's.  The trailer had been hit on the passenger side at the axels.  It destroyed the axels, and also took out the ladder to the hay rack, and wrinkled the Extrusion on the exterior of the trailer.

There were no horses in the trailer at the time of the accident.

I am now looking for parts to rebuild the trailer, and am hoping that y'all may be able to point me in the direction to find some used items, possibly another wrecked trailer someone has that the horse area is complete, or the best place to buy new items,  other than back thru Sundowner (they are darn proud of their replacement parts).  I also do not know what other trailer manufacturers may use the same items I am searching for.  While the trailer was sitting, all the deviders, swing out saddle rack, colapsable tack, 3 drop down windows, and pass thru door from LQ to Horse area were removed and taken.  I am also looking for the best source to buy the aluminum extrusion (slats), and Tandem axel Fender.

The trailer is 7' tall and has a sticker on itthat sais it is 102" wide.  The fender wheels are inside the horse area, however it does not have mangers.

Any and all help will be greatly apreciated.

Thank you in advance..... Gene

The 95 Sundowner Sunlite was a very well built trailer.  To make it look "right"; I would bite the bullet and get the right parts from Sundowner; however you may be able to get the fender extension from Redneck.  The axles would be Dexter Tor/Flex, and you could get them from Redneck also.

I'm assuming that since so much stuff is missing on this trailer that you probably bought it for a cheap price.  To replace this stuff and do it right, you will either have to buy it from Sundowner or a dealer that might have the older style dividers and drop downs in stock yet.  You might also try and find where insurance companies "total out" wrecked trailers at.  Good luck; as it won't be cheap to restore this trailer to good useable condition.
