HiMy horses are working their hind feet in my slant load trailer during travel. This has caused the thin rubber liner, 1/4", to become torn through to the bare aluminum wall from the floor up about 6". My local feed store has floor mats which are much thicker and I considered adding some of that to the bottom wall of the trailer but these only come in 6' lengths and my 2 horse trailer wall measures about 7'. They can't order any longer ones. Suggestions? Do I need to order liner from a manufacturer? I don't want to have this same problem, what thickness do I need to get?Thanks Joan

Could you split the difference and have 6" lacking on the front and rear of the wall? I wouldn't think the horses are getting their hooves that close to the wall corner and causing damage..
Just enough to cover what damage is done and prevent it further...

I did what Paul said and it worked pretty well. I used silicone caulking to glue it to the walls at the time. I think 3M probably makes a better product but the caulking held up fine.
