I just bought a four horse slant steel trailer. I would like to have the option of holding open that last slant to put an extra horse in there form time to time. I do not want to remove the divider. Has anyone ever used a powerful magnet to hold that slant open while hauling? I may have to turn the hubby loose with the welder.

I screwed a tie ring into the wall and had a chain link with a snap welded onto the divider to keep the divider open.

Mine has a ring on the slant wall. I just clip the divider to that.

Problem with just tying divider back is you get a lot of bouncing going down roads and welds are stressed thus cracking and breaking. I don't know of a manufacture that will warranty this.

When our slants are latched, they do not ride down onto any surface, they are suspended, as it were, in their slot.....9 years now and still suspended, same as they would be tied over to the side, looks like.

When looking at new Sundowners and Trails West trailers the salesman told me the warranty is invalid if the dividers are tied open. I still do it but my trailer is so old there is no longer a warranty.
